SCS/HB 249 - This act requires licensing of amusement machine operators. The fee for licensing an unlimited number of machines at carnivals or fairs is $100 per month. The Director of the Division of Professional Registration of the Department of Economic Development shall set the biennial fee for an operators license at an amount necessary to cover the costs of the licensing program, not to exceed $1,500. The penalty for failing to obtain a license is up to $100 for each machine in an operator's possession and seizure of such machines. Any aggrieved party may appeal to the Administrative Hearing Commission.
